The Billy Zoom’Tron has a more subtly aggressive, punchy tone. A versatile design, which offers a clearer, more traditional Gretsch single-coil Dynasonic sound. They have a good amount of headroom for clean or slightly overdriven tones. And with no 60 cycle hum!

The Zoom’Tron, with T-Armond innards, blends single-coil twang in the dual-coil Filter’Tron configuration. Comes with larger staggered Alnico cylinder magnets.
Tone/Characteristics
The Zoom’Tron is similar in tone to the MagnaTron, but with a beefier, fuller-bodied tone. The dual-coils provide a hint of compression to the high-end with no 60-cycle hum. Pickups with cylinder magnets add clarity to the low end or wound strings.
